Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to an inclusive, accessible platform — and how to reach us if something gets in your way.
Last updated: 12 October 2026
1. Our commitment
Classable is built to be usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. Accessibility is part of how we design and build the product — teachers, students, parents and administrators all rely on it, and it should work for everyone.
We are actively working towards conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard referenced by most accessibility legislation worldwide (including the ADA in the United States and the EN 301 549 / European Accessibility Act in the EU).
2. What we do
- Semantic HTML and ARIA roles so assistive technologies can interpret the interface.
- Full keyboard navigation for core flows, with visible focus states.
- Labels and accessible names on form fields, buttons and interactive controls.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images and icons.
- Colour choices and contrast aimed at WCAG AA, in both light and dark themes.
- Respect for the operating-system “reduce motion” preference.
- Responsive layouts that work from small phones to large displays.
3. Known limitations
Classable is in active development (beta). Some areas may not yet fully meet our Level AA target — for example certain data-dense tables, the QR-scanning camera view, and third-party embedded content. We treat accessibility defects as real bugs and prioritise fixing them.
4. Assistive technology & browsers
We aim to support current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge) together with the screen readers commonly paired with them. If you use an older or less common configuration and hit a barrier, please tell us — we will do our best to help.
5. Giving feedback or requesting help
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, or need information in a different format, contact us at paulmiu@jibble.io and describe the page and the problem. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within five working days.
Your feedback helps us improve the platform for everyone.
6. Formal approval
This statement reflects our current, good-faith assessment. It does not constitute a legal warranty of conformance, and we update it as the product evolves.
