Move your school from one year to the next, and keep past students as alumni.
Classable is organised around academic years, so your school has a clear structure that moves forward over time.
Academic years
An academic year groups a period of study (with its start and end dates set on the School profile). Your terms, grades and statistics sit inside this structure.
Promotion and rollover
When a year ends, you move your school forward: promotion / rollover advances students into the next year rather than re-entering everyone by hand. (To move a group between classes or branches at any other time, use bulk transfer — see "Transferring students in bulk".)
Alumni and archiving
Students who have finished can be kept as alumni — a record of those who have moved on — and older data can be archived so your active lists stay focused on current students while nothing is lost.
