Set up kiosk mode

Kiosk mode turns any screen into a self-serve check-in station.

What you need

Just a screen with a browser — a laptop, tablet or shared display at the classroom door or lecture-hall entrance. There is no hardware to buy.

Setting it up

1. Start a live session for the class.
2. Open the kiosk / QR display view and put the device where students will scan it.
3. Students scan with their phones on the way in; the display refreshes the rotating code automatically.

Best practices

• Place the kiosk at eye level near the entrance so the flow is natural.
• For big lecture halls, use a large display so students can scan from a distance.
• Keep the device plugged in — the display refreshes continuously while the session is live.
