Getting started with Classable
Create your organization, add classes and subjects, and get to your first QR session in minutes.
Welcome to Classable. This guide takes you from an empty account to your first attendance session in about ten minutes.
1. Create your organization
Sign up at the app and create an organization — your school or university. You become its Owner, which gives you full control: classes, subjects, people, reports and settings.
Tip: You can seed a demo organization from the dashboard to explore with sample data before you commit real students.
2. Add classes and subjects
- Create your classes / groups (e.g. "9A" or "CS Year 1").
- Add the subjects / courses taught to each class.
- Assign teachers to the subjects and classes they teach.
3. Invite your teachers
Enter a teacher's email. If they already have a Classable account they are attached automatically; otherwise they get an email invitation to join. Teachers can belong to several schools and switch between them.
4. Add your students
Add students individually, or bulk-import a whole roster from CSV or XLSX. See Add students & import your roster.
5. Run your first session
Start a live session, show the rotating QR on a kiosk or your screen, and students check in by scanning. See Run QR & kiosk attendance.
That's it — attendance flows straight into your dashboards and reports.
